    Default Merchants

    How would one boost merchants so that each resource would bring in more money?
    I don't know if this is text editing or not so I put this question in here. I see the resources section in descr_strat but that only shows the coordinates of each resource.

    data\descr_sm_resources.txt has the basic value
    data\descr_campaign_db has multipliers for the value

    General: the further the first instance of a resource is from your capital, the higher the multiplier for that resource. Example gold or spices. Low value for Egypt, high value for England.

    I am a fan of merchants and economic warfare. I increased the value of all the resources and doubled the salary costs of all characters in the game; this has done a lot to boost the value of using them a great deal.
