while i enjoyed the fighting, i didnt enjoy how they were constantly screaming out each others names, and that the non samurai dude killing trained samurai with just a piece of rotted branch spoiled what i thought was gonna be a great movie
well your right on that. this movie isnt realistic. at all. 13 kills 200. but still its awesome. i dident sew any other historical movie that has so much sword fight scenes and also good ones.
the thing about the non samurai guy. he dosent follow the japanese duel rules like the samurais. so i can see why he could have an edventage on them.
i watched and i liked it for what it is- a great sword fighting movie.
i dont think the intent was ever to be a historical masterpiece but to showcase japanese style sword fighting.
Gr8 movie. Go watch this!!![]()

I think you can sum up the dialogue in the last half of the movie with: "tono!!!"
i loved the movie remineded me of shogun 2i also thought it was hilarious when they were walking in a river and one guy gets leaches on him and another laughs and says "looks like you have some new friends" and then the guy notices that he has leaches on him too. and screams and rips them of his chest lol
Yes, this was a great movie, but I'm afraid this thread doesn't belong here as it has nothing to do with Shogun 2 game-play.

wtf there are a lot of people in this thread i've never seen before
Swear filters are for sites run by immature children.
I thought it was a good movie, but I don't watch a lot of samurai movies so I can't really compare it to any others. Top-notch movie though.
BTW the reason the guy the find in the mountains is so powerful is because he most likely isn't human.
I thought it was decent. I'm not much of one for that kind of fighting.
But yeah that one guy is totally supposed to be a demon or something. Hence why he took a sword through the throat and showed up later.
I didn't pick up on it at all until he showed up at the end after being killed. Then I went to wiki with my 'wtf' face on.
Miike never struck me as a director to do a samurai epic like this. Some of his films are justing weird.
