Icon5 Is it possible to have 2 armies fighting alongside?

OK, as I am new to this series, I have been wondering about this for a long time. As you know, an army can only have 20 units of soldiers or sieges. Is it thus possible, during a battle, to add in another extra army to win the battle?

If so, how can I do it? Please enlighten me! Thanks!

Of course, you know when you're in a battle and that red square pops up around your Captain or General? Well any enemies, allies, or your own guys in that square will join the fight, But if it asks if you want to control the troops, you may want to say no because you aren't allowed to control more than the 20 units at a time. just let the AI use them.

Here's a great example of a fight like this. Definitely a battle that had me sweating a little bit. VH/VH is never fun when you're in a fight like that.

OK, basically to have reinforcements, one must have an extra army close by, am I right to say this? So how should I palce this extra army? Moreover, how many extra armies can I have for reinforcements?

    Thanks!

Just put them adjacent to your army or the enemy army. Where ever they are in the square is where they appear on the battle field. For example, if your allied army is behind the enemy, and you attack with your army, and all 3 armies are in the square, your reinforcements will appear behind the enemy. Vice versa if they're behind you, they'll appear behind you.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Who ever is being attacked, the square will center around them.
