    Now this isn't exactly a request--it's more a technical question, seeing as you clearly know something about skeletons: is it possible to change the point of impact of a melee weapon? or is it hard-coded somehow?

    as it is, I am trying to create a pikeman, who does not require a phalanx*, but who can still use a pike tactically to keep the enemy at a distance. so far, everything is OK: I've disabled the walking, I figured out a way of simulating people getting impaled on the pike tips, and well, almost everything the pikeman could actually do. That is, until I get to the part when it's time to engage in combat itself: the soldiers do absolutely nothing, and have no effect whatsoever, till the enemy opposite them men themselves is ~1-1.5 meters away, well inside the point of the pike (i.e. safe from being poked in RL). If I can get them to do damage on contact with the pike heads, my job would be complete. If not, at least a stab was taken at the problem.

    Interesting question, as I have wondered about it as well. I tried to find, but there doesn't seem to be a way to make this happen as far as I'm aware of. The length of the weapons doesn't matter much, as they only activate the attacking animations in a decent distance. Would be great to have a way to change this.

    So, now this is my first request: If you'd be so kind, Rarity, I would like to have a mule!

    I'm not the first one who looks for an alternative draft animal (oxen, mules, donkeys etc.), but it seems that so far horses, camels, and elephants (and wargs, fellbeasts and some other crazy stuff) are the only possibilities for RTW.
    Iberia: Total War, which was supposed to have mules to draw the supply wains, also has horses only.

    Would you be able to fix this? I'm surprised there is not a fix for it already. There is no need for UI's.
    I believe it's just how they're supposed to be, to make the factions variations. For example other Roman Houses' hastati and principes have shoulderpads, while Julii's and Rebels' don't. Same thing goes for some Barbarian units.

    It's just a trick with Alpha Channel though. Here is the 'fixed' Julii's Hastati and Principes, so they now have the shoulderpads, if you want.

    Heh, I'm starting to miss modelling human units now

    Here's my first attempt on the Holsteiner. I'm not really familiar with modeling horses and those alike (despite being a pony and all that ) at this stage, so please don't expect something exceptional

    I need this unit remake so I don't have to see Hoplite in Carthaginian anymore it very important to me to have the unit done

    Unit making: Elite unit of Carthage fighting in shield wall using spear
    Equipments bronze cruisass, bronze shield, short spear,(let's say we use sword as decoration) bronze graves and I think they got a red shirt(this make a nice color mix)

    spear & light_spear = The unit when braced has various protecting mechanisms versus cavalry charges from the front
    spear_bonus_x = attack bonus against cavalry. x = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12

    It wont work because those formations atributes cant be changed. Best solution you got is phalanx+short pike. Your hoplites will keep formation and fight with short spears. With short pike only they will have short spears but the formation will colapse on contact. Look for Aradan's EDU Guide for more information.
    If you remove both and your unit is not holding a spear then you have a skeleton problem.

    I thinking about making them a spearman in shield wall
    that the best possibility now for me

    I also plan to move the old Greek Scared band to Thebes and request Rarity remake for my Macedon Hypaspist
