UN Security Council passes resolution asking Saleh to leave

Will this change anything? I don't know what Saleh thinks he can do, it's clear that he is finished. The GCC proposal is great to him, allow him to leave without getting prosecuted. Unfortunately these dictators always think that nothing will remove them from power, if Gaddafi had quit in the beginning of the uprising he could be living a confortable life right now.

From what I hear, it's not really his choice, but that of his relatives entrenched in important positions and commanding army units, who are contemplating which future is more attractive to them.

Hmm, Does Yemen have any oil or mineral wealth. If so Saleh had better watch out, or Sarkozy will be beating the drum for another NATO intervention. Paid for by the U.S. of course.

Yemen in the poorest country in the Middle East. The US is already there combating Al-Qaeda militants.

Also this is not good. I want the Yemeni people to choose their own government, but right now if the government collapses, i see Yemen becoming another Somalia.

Interesting that this resolution passed unanimously and yet the Chinese & Russians vetoed the Syrian resolution which was pretty much the same thing.

Surely you aren't insinuating that the Russians and Chinese are more concerned with petty politics than the actual rights and security of the people??
