Default Installing two mods (SPQR and RTR)

    Greetings,

I wonder if its possible to run two RTW games. I would like to have one for SPQR mod and the other for RTR mod. I have not tested this yet, just want to know if it works so I dont spend time on something that cant be done (or is not working properly).

EDIT: Found the anwser in FAQ!

well, I do not know if I understand your question very well.
I have performed up to 10 different mods here example: rtr 7, r 2 surrectum, Diadochi, Europa Barbarorum, BareBonesWars, DarthMod, Sparta: Total War Res Gestae etc ...
It is very easy, have a clean installation of RTW 1.5 and burn it to dvd as data, you having to make multiple copies of this folder inside your Program Files folder and install them how many mods you prefer, do not forget to rename the Activision as Activision1 , Activision2 ...
Never change Rome - Total War which is within the same ...
    I hope I have helped ...

You are able to run as much mods as you 'd like but you will need a lot of Hard Disk space to do so. What i mean is when you have installed RTW (no mods should be installed jet) and patched it to the latest version (1.5) you can copy/paste your RTW folder as much as you like.

For example if you want to install SPQR, RS II and RTR you should create 3 extra folders give them the name of the mod you want to install (or what ever name you want to give them just remember which mod is in which folder) select your RTW folder -> right mouse click -> copy -> open one of the folders that you just created -> paste. Repeat for the other folders. When this is done open the installer of the first mod you want to isntall direct it to the right folder (he one you created) and repeat again for the other mods.

Now you will have every mod separate installed, this takes up a lot of HD space so be sure not to install all mods there are out there. This is the best way to go because SPQR will overwrite your original RTW files when you install the mod to the directory, when you install an other mod to the same directory as SPQR you will get CDT's (Crash to desktop).

I see, Thank you for your explanation.
So i can just copy/paste the clean RTW folder as many times as i want and install each mod to the desider folder then. I thought the registry will not allow me that so i never tried. Thanks again !

The explanation of this bodemloze Hesus the most complete, sorry my bad english ...
Yes, you need a large hard disk space, so I bought myself a 1 TB HD only for my games because I do not like other games that are not platform RTW, I confess that I am a fanatic about it. ..
