Can't play the mod!!!! Help!!!

Hi guys,
I recently installed FATW 2.0, and it installed perfectly, and I let the DOS screen disappear without moving a muscle.....yet when I click on the desktop shortcut "The New Shadow", the DOS window briefly flashes onto the screen and then disappears...

Where have I gone wrong??
My RTW-BI is patched up to 1.6

The commands in the DOS file are probably not compatible with your OS.

Forget about 2.0 and install 2.6 Full. There are links and installation instructions here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=365719

what's the difference betwenn 2.0 and 2.6?

2.6 is a patched and improved 2.0; all known bugs removed and various little thingies added (better balance, some ancs & traits, some units, some new 2d etc.

2.6 is considered the "current" version of the mod for which we offer support.
