when i download patch v1.5 for rome where do i save it

Hi there. And welcome.
You just save it to your desktop. Then if it is a zip-file, unzip it. Then simply run it and install like a normal program.

please can you explain in detail please i really want to play online ive never played rome online because it wasnt compatible and now i have to download new patch so please help

Well, you download the patch. It really does not matter where you save it, as long as you can find the download afterwards. Then, if it is not a compressed file, you simply press the Setup.exe file to run the patch...... If it is a compressed file, un-zip it before running it. It really is that easy.

But is it a zip-file in the first place ???
If it is a zip-file, I suggets using 7.zip : http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Download the one you need, install it and use it to extract the files in the patch.
Then you can proceed

wait ive done it it creates an unzipped folder so can i delete the zipped one now?

im on windows 7 and ive already extracted it i didnt notice the new folder can i delete the zipped folder now

Yes you can, but dont remove it from Bin before finished (as safety).

ok it says online when im on normal rome it says all the games are non compatible and i click them and it says barbarian invasion inncompatible host version 1.5 your version 1.3 it says that on all of them

Having had a look see at your other thread, I just got an idea.... It could be that those games are modded, and yours are not. Now that you have patched to 1.5, witch was a waste as you already had the Gold edition (full patched), it could also be because they do not use 1.5 or gold.....

You already have one thread open for your problems (here) - there is no reason to have a second one open.

In the other thread I did ask you where you got the game from - which you've not answered (apart form saying you got it from the UK).
