How will my PC play this game?

Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHz single core (At least something good...)
Intel 82945G Family chipset (Runs RTW with everything on lowest)
1 GB RAM (Why me ! )
160 GB Hard Drive
Screen resolution of something around 1450x1200


FUTURE SPECS!
Intel Pentium 4 3.00 GHz single core
GeForce 6400
2 GBs of RAM
160GB Hard Drive (Maybe and external HD of 1TB)
Screen resolution of around 1450x1200

I guess it can run the game on Medium to High settings. But I am not 100% sure. Thanks for your help!

hahahahaha thanks but I live at the other side of the world! MY problem is my Family is poor and cant afford a good PC (Mine is from 2007). But I heard that a GeForce 6400 is crap. But anyway it is better than a Intel 82945G with 220MBs of total video memory.

The 6400 may not play it. The chipset will do campaigns but not battles. Campaigns will be on low, no eyecandy, and small units.

1 gigabyte of ram is just fine for medieval II. 6400 is crap. you'll need at least a 6800 or 6900 to run medieval properly.
yes, radeon 4850 is good, a lot better than 6400. or if you want to go nvidia buy a 8800 or 9800. they're cheap and will still run most games decently.

You think the price is good? BTW My PC is from 2007 so I guess it uses DDR2 RAM, so I dont know if a DDR3 graphic cards will work. Thanks to everyone for their help ^_^

as far as i know there is no connection between what type of memory you use and the video memory. but i might be mistaken. i'd ask a few more people if i were you.
also check if it's compatible with your motherboard. nothing worse than spending money on something you can't use, especially if you are strapped for cash.

Yes, that 9800GT will play M2TW. And it will do it quite well...

Not necessarily. Although it's been some time since I worked with eMachines I still think you could cram a 9800 in there - it just depends on what PCI slots you have available. I played M2 with a 1GB 9800 on a crappy XP eMachines box for awhile and can confirm that it will work. If your system is from 2007 then you have a decent chance of getting it working. Post your full specs and maybe we'll have more to work with. Good luck!

well in that case chances are you won't be able to use geforce 9800 either.

Hehe, click my sig (the red writing) as it will some things that will help you for playing M2TW. Good luck with this, and remember... M2TW ONLY USES 1 CORE no matter what. So if you're just looking to play this game then a Single core will do. But if you move up to E:TW which is multicore optimized now as it's at it's final patch then a dual/quad is a must.

I have a eMachines like your sitting in the bedroom floor.

1. It will play campaign but not good.
2. No battles.
3. You can only get 2gb ram in it.
4. OS is not upgradeable.
5. The 9800GT will fit if you get one like without the power hookups.
6. It will cost you a new power supply.
7. Throw the side cover away if do upgrade. It will get too hot left on.

O, so, not worth upgrading then. Well, I will surely have one day a PC worthy to mention its specs I will someday have that PC at Office Max which has a GeForce GT540 , 10GB (Or 8? I think its 10) RAM and some kind of processor which has six cores. Just need the 1000$ it costs... Thanks everyone for their help!
