I don't think there was an independent sultantate of damascus. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My understanding is that Damascus was often an independent city, whether it's ruler paid homage to the Caliph in Bagdhad and/or other larger dynastic powers seems to have been fluid. If there is no flag or symbol you can find, then I suggest deeply researching the rulers, Duqaq of Damascus comes to mind from the time of the 1st Crusade.... during which I believe he was rivals with his brother, Ridwan of Aleppo. They must each have had some kind of "house" symbol or flag. Seems you can find anything on the internet these days, but I wouldn't be surprised if you need to visit a real and serious library in New York, or London, or Damascus!

indenpendent state in damascus, destroyed by Zengids, its fits to your Sultanate of Damascus, just change the name

Its almost impossible to find a symbol, you can just use one of the symbols which is used in art in that period.

OK, I search the / caliph / sultan / governor of Damascus in 1147, I hope to find some familiar symbol or an icon, but will have to invent the symbol, and I prefer not to.

    I accept suggestions XD

Burids were amirs, not sultans, and certainly not caliphs.

I've performed a quick search, and I've only found Burid coins with inscriptions, no other symbols, so I'm afraid you'll have to improvise.

Great! The truth is that we need translators to find information about the mod, we have problems with some factions and units.
Now what we need is more information about the Ahlatshahs, much of this is in Arabic and not give us clues to a faction icon or an idea of the faction itself.

Matmohair1@ Thanks !!! The Arab "fleur de lis", can be worth as a symbol of the Ayyubids faction or Burids? what colors I can use?
