Switching Factions

Hello, is it possible to switch a faction in a current campaign? Lets say I play Britannia as Welsh and wish to switch to the English. I found somewhere on the net the switch_faction command but it doesnt work so I would like to ask if this is possible? And if not, is there a way to enable it?

console_command control [faction_name]. works only in scripts. Example:

console_command control england

howewer it seems your faction would be controlled badly by AI.

I think that "control" only worked in RTW. Pretty sure that I read that somewhere and I have had no luck getting it to work in the past.

A variation of Baron's alliance script then? with the give_everything command and then changing name and banner and labels of Wales, then resurrect England giving it the Wales and changing its banner etc into the welsh ones? a bit complex but may be effective. see this http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=488020
