    Default Ring of Fire Series.

Been reading the ring of fire series by Eric Flint, excellent (imho).

Premise: In the year 2000, the town of Grantville, West Virginia is transported back to Germany in 1632, during the 30 years war, the series follows the impact of there ideas, technology (what they have and can jury rig) and above all, the impact of there history books, have on the progress of the War and the wider world. (contains such genius moments as Iron Clads fighting the navies of Denmark...by fighting I mean owning with 12 inch cannon made out of oil pipes wrapped in welded wire), introducing mercenary raiders to the concept of machine guns, high power hunting rifles, and above all the love affair that the Germans develop with shotguns.

First book available to read online for free

more than that, the Naval series has 3, (thats the main plotline) but there are far more offshots, set in different parts of europe. Don't have the same author every time.
