This was a unique time period.
Anyway, I don't want to work alone like last time where my mod fell through the cracks.
I plan to use Gigantus' Creating a World series to make this mod. I will make Africa and Western Europe and use Geomod to add territories.
I need a team because this has the potential to be a huge mod. I know it isn't in the time period, but this is the only game apart from Rome (which will not fit) where I can create Africa I believe.
Obstacles:
-Making 19th century warfare fit into Medieval
-Balance between African factions and European ones, which may not even be necessary, since the Europeans did what they wanted
-I have no idea how to represent local tribes in Africa
Factions:
-Great Britain
-France
-Germany*
-Italy
-Spain*
-Portugal
-Belgium
*denotes a faction that may not be added due to minimal colonies in Africa
Now, I believe it would be fitting to include West Europe. Let me explain why.
1. Some people can argue a reason behind colonizing Africa was to ease tensions between the tense Europeans (which failed; WW1 happened)
2. Lets you use the resources from your home land, which reflects the strength of the nation at the time. Great Britain was strong due to flourishing (if unbalanced) trade. If you cut the British Isles themselves, you're taking out the reason for so much success in colonization: availability of money. Think about it, France had so much land in north Africa, only because their home had sufficient soldiers to keep peace there.
Thoughts?
