    Default display issue (issue solved)

I recently got a new computer, and the game is really small for some reason, it takes up the whole screen but all the icons and panels and things are like half the size they should be. I have changed the resolution a few times but it doesn't matter, and I don't know how to adjust the size of things. The computers optimal resolution is 1920x1080 if it matters.

Are you running it in windowed or full screen mode? And where did you get your copy of the game from?

Okay. Find the game in your games list, right click it, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache. That will revert your copy of the game to the way it was first installed as and will delete any mods/graphics packs you might have installed. If you're still using the 5.1B beta patch you'll also need to revert back to that again.

there were some files that needed to be restored but it didn't fix the problem, it looks like this btw except the interface is smaller/looks smaller when I'm playing.

I don't know why but the screenshot doesn't look like what I see, proportionally when I'm playing the mini map/drop down menu are only 2/3s as big at most.

    Lets make this easy.

In game, the text is all as if it is size 9 on microsoft word (2007) or smaller, on my old computer it was closer to size 12.

The menues and map modes and things are equally small.

Hence I want to make them bigger.

I am asking for a way to do this.

It's most likely the resolution then. A higher resolution might make the fonts appear smaller to you.

yup, I actually still have my old laptop so I did some googling and it has a resolution of ~1300 by ~800, so I changed it to that and it worked perfectly. I have no idea why uping resolution makes everything smaller, but at least I know how to fix it.

    uhh, excuse me?
what resolution does is the higher you make it the smaller pixels are going to be, thus everything will seem smaller.
im trying to be helpful and explain that to you and you basically tell me to gtfo.

I was under the impression that although the pixels would be smaller it would just dedicate more pixels to things so they were the same size but clearer.

well that wasn't my intention, I just ment the problem was solved. And I don't really know anything about computers but you were talking like I did and I should know better.
