Hotseat campaign Auto play

I have heard of starting a hotseat campaign and making it run for so many turns with everything controlled by the ai. I can't find a guide on how to as i wish to start a campaign from about 1300 so if anyone knows exactly how or can link me a guide i would be very grateful

Go to multiplayer, and select hotseat campaign. Make sure disable console, use passwords,and autoresolve all battles are not selected. Choose whatever faction you want, then click start. As you begin your first turn press the ` key to bring up the console. type "control france", without quotation marks. You can do this for whatever faction you are using then press enter. Once you have done this the computer should take over the faction and continue to play all factions until you undo it. You undo it or choose another faction in the same manner. "control spain" or "control hre" or "control france". You cannot change the faction to the faction that the computer is using during it's turn but once Genoa's, for example, turn is over type "control milan" to control the Republic of Genoa.
