Default Just how CPU intensive is RTW?

I'm gonna build a new computer for gaming purposes, below are the specs:

    ASRock SLI32 Socket 939
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+
    Corsair Value 2x1Gb
    Coolermaster C5
    Forsa 7900 GT 256MB
    Seagate Barracuda 250gb
    BenQ DW 1640
    OCZ Powerstream 520w

I am gonna play this on a 24" monitor (resolution 1920x1200), thus the weak processor/strong GPU combo.
However I am worried that the CPU would be too weak for RTW and create a bottleneck, even at high resolutions. Does anyone here know if increasing the resolution pushes enough of the load to the GPU to avoid bottlenecking?

A 3000+ can handle RTW fine, but don't expect huge battles with 10000+ men to be silky smooth. I suggest you only get 1 gigs of RAM and use the saved money to get at least a Athlon 3500 or 3800.

BTW, make sure its the "Venice" core, so you can always overclock it. Also they cost and performs the same as the other cores.

ok, thanks. If i use only 1 stick of RAM, would it run normally in single channel, on a dual channel motherboard? I'm thinking to buy 1 stick of 1gb now, and buy another and run them in dual channel mode when i have enough money to spare.

Yes, you can get 1 stick of 1 gig, but it will run in single channel and it won't perform as well as 2 x 512.
