    Default 50% Friendly Fire Deaths!!!

I did it! I got the Pontus to friendly fire kill 50% of their own units.

Like usual, the Pontus has multiple Scythed Chariots.

    1) The Pontus run toward a hill in the center of the map, thinking height will give them an advantage. I marched my unit to the side of the hill to decrease that advantage. My Archers showers fire arrows on their Chariots and they ran amok in the middle of their ranks.

    2) One group of Scythed Chariots, still under control, got to my archers. My cavalries held it off until my Archers can get it running amok. My cavalry quickly retreated afterwards.

After some more fighting the Pontus decided the battle was hopeless and tried to retreat. Unlucky for him, and lucky for me, when my unit was standing just happens to be blocking their path of retreat. My arrows and cavalry made their retreat very painful, and more importantly, slow. Their spearmen, multiple times, have to turn to face my cavalry when I pretend to charge at them. Their missile units also had to retreat when they see my cavalry charging at them.

    3) The Scythed Chariots, which were running amok behind them, catched up to them. What followed was a total bloodbath, as their units where trapped between their own Scythed Chariots and my men.

    4) The results were very bloody.

    Killed by enemies: 855
    Killed by friendly fire: 790
    Total deaths: 1645

    Survivor: 76
    Total: 1721

So friendly fire deaths made up 50% of their total deaths. This was an awesome battle. I got the say Pontus is the funniest enemies I have faced so far.

Horse Cavalry are absolutely dreadful vs Chariots. I don't know why you would use your cavalry to save off some chariots o.O Other than that, very well done! The AI doesn't really calculate "advantages" into their system. Sure they know how to flank and stuff, but they are necessary great adapters. And certainly not smart enough to use nearby hills to their advantage. If they are attacking you, they choose routes quickest to you.

My funniest was a spanish army. Since I initiated the battle, the spanished just stayed put and reformed while I moved my roman army. Only, they constantly reformed by RUNNING, even when I didn't move units. So, I stood up, did the dishes and vacuumed. By the time I came back, they were so tired they routed after the first volley from my velites. They had 500 more men than me too...
Does the fact that i actually post stuff make me a nerd?

I find that it sometimes all depends on the angle and what cav you are charging them with. If completely surrounded that chariots can hardly move. I destroyed some of the Britons with some regular Merc Barb Cav playing as Julii moons ago. I lost a few men during the charge but withing seconds crushed the chariots. It all just depends.

Ah my bad. Those who use chariots correctly annihilate horse-cavalry. xD

Yes, a box of cav units will trap the chariots and defeat them, though they'll take some initial casualties until the chariots become bogged down.
