I have a question, is it possible to have a princess in the family tree from another faction?
For example: at the beginning of the game princess XXX is married to family member XXX from another faction

Ok thanks, would it then be possible to script a marriage?
You can use a console command to force the acceptance of a diplomatic offer but I'm not sure this would be practical to do in-game since there would be no way to know exactly when the offer would be made. You could just force the marriage this way in play for yourself but scripting it as a standard event wouldn't really work.
AFAIK, it is not possible (or at least not known) how to start with a princess from faction x married to a character of faction y (in the family tree). BUT you can have a married princess in your tree as an agent (only at the beginning) by altering the descr_strat. She will be an agent of the same faction she belongs thought. No, because once married they leave the game
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Don't know if it is really helpful to you, since it seem you to be interested in scripting a marriage alliance. But you may be able to give those princess the other faction's royal trait, a custom portrait with a different colour, and you may have the same "taste" of an alliance. And, insted of scripting a marriage alliance, you could script that when she marriesmaybe this can help you: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=295898Code:console_command diplomatic_stance x y Allied

Hello
What about princesses of our own faction as wives? How is it possible to make the faction heir's wife appear in the family tree with a portrait of a princess?
This is hardcoded I guess because sometimes... there is a princess-portrait and sometimes this ugly wrack!
This depends on if the princess was an agent ( was able to walk around on the strat map ) or just a symbol in the others faction ( ugly wrack )...
I do not know for sure as I did never care about but I am sure enough to place a bet on this!
it is possible only by descr_strat, you put her in the family tree, remove her character_record, put her on the map as a normal princess. then via campaign_script you send her off_map (if you want, you can still use her as agent but won't be able to get married). you cannot use custom portraits with this method, BUT
1 vanilla portraits are still avaiable
2 if you know wich one the game engine is using, you can make your own and replace that one with the numbered one in the data\ui\culture (different names for different culture)\portraits\young\princesses
EDIT if you mean during the game, i guess it is hardcoded.
EDIT 2 the off_map trick doesn't work unfortunately, the game shows her with this portrait.

you must either kill her or let her stay as an agent on the strat map.
