Slave arrives with a scroll. He stops at the gates and gives the invitation to the household slave to bring it to their master
Esteemed senator, you and your family has been invited to dinner at the Villa of Quintilii. We hope that you would dress according to the traditions, but due the recent liberal movements we have set the dresscode to be free.
We await you to particitipate at the time included in this invite.

Cilo returns from the election, jubilant, in the new toga of the Pontifex, the hood draped over his head.. He addressed his followers at his house before entering to celebrate in a banquet, to which all were invited.
Quintus arrived at the banquet.
These fine gentlemen's have thanks to their consistent idiotic posts have earned their place on my ignore list: mrmouth, The Illusionist, motiv-8, mongrel, azoth, thorn777 and elfdude. If you want to join their honourable rank you just have to post idiotic posts and you will get there in no time.
He is shown in, where the new Pontifex is meeting guests, he speaks to Quintus,
"Good to see you, Senator.."
Quintus smiled even though the man didn't adress him as Tribune.
"I wish to than you for inviting me to this banquet and to congratulate you for your appointment as Pontifex Maximus."

"I take your thanks as from the people themselves, Quintus."
He smiles before introducing him to his wife,
"This is Julia, and this.."
His daughter appears,
"Is Cilii. Do you have a family, Tribune?"
Quintus smiled at the two women.
"I do Senator, I have a wife and two sons, the eldest will soon begin his cursus honorum."

Cilo smiled, ignoring the pleb not calling him by his real title,
"Excellent, Quintus.. Has he been to Greece for his oratorical education, for if he is to live up to his father's name, he must speak well."
"You honour me with your words Cilo, he has been trained by Greek slaves at home and I intend to send him to Greece to learn more quite soon. Do you have any son?"

"I have one son, he is but 14, he currently studies in Rhodes but I am sure he merely spends too much money on drink and learns barely anything, Im sure we did when we were young."
He laughs,
"I have decided, along with two others, to appoint you to the College of Pontiffs as Pontifex, it is rare for a plebeian to receive such an honour, and I hope you accept."
Quintus chuckled.
"Yes everything was so easy when one was young and I will graciously accept becoming part of the college of Pontiffs."

Severus Metellus arrives with his invitation and awaits to be introduced.
Slave carrying a letter arrives. He hands it to one of the lictors for to be handed to Pontifex himself.
To honored supernal head of College of Pontiffs Pontifex Maximus Spurius Octavius Cilo.
Dear religious father.
Firstly I want to congratulate you for your unquestioned success and popularity to be voted Pontifex Maximus. I cannot think better more devoted man for this sacred position.
Secondly I want you to be the first to know that the situation in Greece seems to be calm as the Pontii aren't crossing and are giving us the time to retaliate their forces to the ground in the name of Mars.
And last, I am sorry to inform that I cannot personally oversee the sacrifices that you have called for and I am not a man who desires the ill will of the gods especially now that I am in the most dire need of their affection.
Instead I would ask you honored leader of rituals and religious affairs to take my word that when I arrive I shall as my first act inside Rome to make grand sacrifice and honor next two days to Jupiter Optimus Maximus in full selibacy, fast and inside the temple.
I will also sacrifice portion of my spoils to the temple as offerings and after the two days I will held a banquet of religious matter to show my gratitude to mortals who aided me in my endeavors as well for the gods who returned me safe from the battlefields.
I hope you will take my promises by heart and indulge me for my sacrifices sparing me from the fine.
Hoping to congratulate you in person soon.
Consul Marcus Quintilius Rufus.

Thank you, Cilo. I must say that while I anticipated your election, I never would have my own.
The Sybillines? This is indeed odd. I would have never imagined that such a small offering could contain such mysterious portents. I will make a small request of you, Cilo. My family has a long tradition of worship of the goddesses Vesta and Venus. I should very much like to be assigned to oversee one of these temples, well, as they stand, merely shrines. I shall endeavor to build them back into their former glory.
"Severus, it would do me a great honour if you oversaw the Temples of those goddesses, ensure the fire of Vesta stays lit, and the flowers of Venus always fresh."
He sighed,
"The portents were indeed strange, brother."
Cilo smiled once more,
"And news of the roads?"
