0 turn to 1 turn?

does anyone know how to change from 0 turn recruitment to 1 turn, using steam? I know this is a dumb question and has probably been answered all over the place but haven't for the life of me been able to find any info.
Any help would be much appreciated

First of all welcome to the forum.

Do you want to change an existing campaign from 0-turn to 1-turn OR do you want to start a 1-turn campaign and are unable to do that?

I'm fairly sure you can't change an existing cmapaign from 0-turn to 1-turn.

thanks for the welcome, i was just wanting to start a 1-turn campaign but can't figure out how to do this. does it have to do with the launcher?

In the Launcher (where you select which faction you want to play) select One-turn campaigns and then start the game (and select the faction you want to play as in the vanilla game)

But as Brusilov said, you can't change an existing campaign into one turn (atleast not without changing all the variables in the text files, which requires a lot of work.)

There are two options for 1 turn campaigns;

Play_Rome_One_Turn
Play_One_Turn

These are the names of the folders in your RSII 'game' folder.

So, use the first one if you want to play as Rome and the second for all other factions.

Idiot question:

What does 0/1 turn campaign mean? Is this the standard recruiting time for a generic unit?

Yes, with 0-turn you can build several units within one turn, while with 1-turn you can build only a single unit each round (in each city, ofc).

There are some units that take more than one turn to recruit - mainly the elite units.

With 1-turn recruitment with R:TW you can only train a single unit at a time. With 0-turn recruitment you can recruit up to 9 or 10 units at a time - so it's not the time that it takes to recruit a unit it's also the number of units.
