The Villa of Appius Horatius Regillus

Nestled in the Apennine Mountains of Central Italy, the remote villa of the Horatia gens is now the home of the head of the family, Appius Horatius Regillus. Having entered into a period of self-isolation in the secluded position of the villa following the death of his father, Appius has only recently decided to end his self imposed exile from Rome in order to throw himself into the political battleground of senatorial Rome. All visitors are welcome into the home, as long as they do not bare a threat to the master of the house.

Inhabitants

Appius Horatius Regillus Born into the rather reclusive Horatia gens, of patrician blood, Appius led a non-descript childhood, playing the foothills of the Apennines that surround the ancient home of the Horatias. To this day, he enjoyed long walks and hikes through the mountain ranges by his house. Appius is nicknamed 'Regillus' for the Horatia's ancient lineage going back to the Third King of Rome. With the death of his father, Appius has been let off his short leash, and now seeks to experience the world, in a manner unbecoming to his family. He is known for his rather calm, neutral personality. He is a gentle sort of person, but can be passionate as any other man. He just needs many more incentives. This reflects his political views too; being a rather pragmatic individual, favouring neither populism or conservatism. Paula Horatius - Mother, 52 Reclusive for much of her life, but moreso now with the recent death of her Husband. Paula is know in nigh total mourning, and rarely speaking to anyone apart from her housemaid. Not many people know too much about her, not even her own children. Vibana Horatius Ignatius - Sister, 21 Nicknamed 'Ignatius' for her fiery and temperamental personality, Vibana can be considered quite different from her mild, middling brother. She is known for her stark optimate values, her somewhat abrasive personality, and most of all, her explosive temper. Vibana is constantly on a fuse, one which can be set off quite unknowingly to stangers. Despite this, she is can be charming and knowledgeable to those who can earn her trust, the very rare few, including her brother.

The slave bows, and takes the Senator to the Gardens, where fair Vibana is gazing over the mountain ranges of the Horatia estate. She turns, slowly.

'Ah, you must be Senator...Sextus?'

Slave arrives with a scroll. He stops at the gates and gives the invitation to the household slave to bring it to their master
