    Default Rome 0-turn Johnnieangel

    Playing on M/M
economy- balanced so far. Im fielding about 5 stacks 3 republican and 2 allied making about 15-25k per turn
Battles- auto resolved a few battles and found the awards sometimes doubled up on

Traits- so far so good everything seems balanced

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." Good so far.

When you post the pics, click on the "insert image" button just above the reply box and paste the link from imageshack in there. I've just done it for you.

new campaign started after SVN update
    H/H on BI
screenshots for economy and traits about ten turns in.
money feels a bit tighter. definitely more challenging!
I auto-resolved every battle so far. Final push against the rebels awarded about 3 decorations between two of my stacks against one rebel stack.

    Thanks.

    How's it feeling?

If you can post the actual pics rather than the thumbnails that would be great!

While fighting Hannibal and the rebels literally everything I had went into troop replenishment. Just towards the end, I abandoned greece and spain just to take back Italy. Turn 20 marked my capture of Croton which was held by the rebels. Carthage was spread thin at about turn 14 so I was able to mop them up. On hard setting I think this was good, balanced gameplay. by no means easy but not impossible. Should i take this farther a few turns or restart and change settings? Sorry about the thumbnails. Im new a screenshots and am trying to find the best way to manage them.

It would be good to try and nail that starting first few turns, just so that it feels really tight....do you want to carry on a few turns and I'll try and sort out a few changes to the starting economics and adding higher level barracks to Bononia and Genoa.

just finished playing about 4-5 more turns.
economy is stablizing. betwenn troop replenishment from mopping up operations and getting some of the 1-turn buildings knocked out, Im makng about 7-19K per turn.
higher level barracks to those two cities would be nice. I relied on allied troop quite a bit to keep Carthage down. population level on Arrminium went down to 450 try to kill Hannibal.
Ill take this a few more turns and a couple of screenshots then start over

    started new 0-turn M/m BI
put "play_test" in submod section and game gives me > 250,000 Dinari each turn from the start!?
Battles feel balanced. Carthage ( like other factions) are spawning tons of ships.
    screenshots to follow.

I wouldn't play the play test game just at the moment....DVK and I will be making frequent save breaking changes and the economy is set up for a stupid Rome AI, giving it lots of money

thaat explains it...serves me right for reading all the posts that have nothing to do with me....ha!.. was kinda fun realizing how quickly you can spank the rebels and Hannibal with stupid amounts of money ( did it in 5-6 turns).

As I've mentioned in the other thread it'd be good to get you testing shortly to see the spread of populares and optimates traits and loyalty effects..will let you know when i'm ready....after that don't update the play test folder unless we say so as you'd be likely to experience save game breaking changes
