The pater familias of the Furii, one of the most ancient and noble of the Roman families, dating back to time immemorial, Lucius Furius Philus has is known for both his courage and cunning. In his youth, he distinguished himself as a capable commander, earning the rank of Praefectus cohortis. After his modest, though successful, military career, he entered into politics. While currently, he is held in high esteem by members of the patrician class, and amongst some in the military who remember his contributions, he is a relatively untested quantity and unknown amongst the plebeians.
