Another pointer - the top tier industry buildings are unbalanced with their predecessors, they have less contribution to regional wealth.

Cannons need to be more in huge settings.

Starting units are the old size, not the new size on unit size huge settings.

Re installed and worked well, then turned off computer.

Relogged today and the same problem remains, i cannot launch campaign or battle without crash. It happens to the pure version aswell. I reset scripts and did everything i did before. i think one of the files is corrupted by something. A script perchance but i am not sure.

By "pure version" do you mean the vanilla game?

Yes, after i uninstalled the mod. I guess it is script related but i have done everything with the appdata folder and don't know what more to do.

Hey guys, i just deleted and re installed the mod in an orderly fashion. It works now, i think one of the central files is getting corrupted each time i run the game :s

Right uninstall every mod you have, and verify the game.

Play vanilla for a bit, then quit and turn off your computer. Turn it on again and see if you can continue your vanilla campaign. If you can't, then you need to go to the ETW tech help thread, because it isn't a mod issue.

Don't download the mod again yet-I'm telling you to test vanilla.

Verification does not involve uninstalling ETW completely and downloading it again from scratch.

Uninstalled IG2 - Vanilla did not work
Verified local content - Vanilla did not work
Deleted local content and re downloaded - Vanilla works, and Ig2 works until i restart i know from experience.
Restarted - Vanilla launches fine.

Now i know if i install the mod it will work for one session, but when i reload it will not work nor vanilla.

So to me it seems there must be a corruption somewhere, could it only be specific to win 7 64bit? All drivers and directx works fine.
Maybe it is the game writing some of the scripts on the second launch or something overwriting the others.

Its nothing to do with Win 7 64-bit. I know because I've got that, I built the launcher on that, and I have yet to have a restart problem.

You say vanilla launches fine-can you carry on with an old vanilla campaign though?

Yes it works with previous vanilla version saves.

Frankly I have no idea what is going on with your game...I can't reproduce the error, and you seem to be the only person out of 940 who've downloaded the mod getting it...

I will do a bit more digging.

Remind me, you do have full admin priveliges don't you?

Yes full admin on the launcher, which then opens steam etw after.

Edit: also i just installed the mod again, then restarted straight away, then after restart it does not work again.

So i can play it immediately after the mod installation, but never after restart.

Do you have these problems with any other mod? DMUC or TAR would perhaps be the best comparisons, since they have their own launchers the same as IG2.

Third age total war worked fine, but i haven't tried any other mods.
When i delete the appdata folder it startedworking again once or twice only. So otherwise the corruption must have been in the main folder? Could i have downloaded a faulty mod file from incomplete dl?

Well, Third Age is completely irrelevent here, for obvious reasons.

Install The American Revolution mod and see if you get the same problem-you can always get rid of it afterwards. Do this first. The reason I want you to install this mod is that it works on a similar principle to IG2, even if I did not make the launcher. No other mod correlates.

Have you redownloaded IG2? If not, then that would be a very good idea.

Never delete the appdata folder-you can't hope to solve the problem that way. You could muck up all your other games as well.

I was just curius if this unlocked some of the other minor factions? Or is this primarily to make Portugal a playable faction?

Is there any future plans to expand this to the Italian states?

This is primary for Portugal, not other factions. I don't know what the plan is, but Fortes has other mods to deal with as well.
