    THIS MOD IS DEAD! AND UNSUPPORTED.





    What is IMPERIUM GLOBALE II?

    It is new and upgraded version of the great mod IMPERIUM GLOBALE made by Boicote.



    What does it add to the previous version?

    More units were added, new graphics worked, a new AI by DARTH VADER added, a new launcher and some other tweaks.



    Where can I download the mod and how to install it?

    You can download it by following this link, the mod comes with a installer and all you need to do is start it, when it is done just hit the launcher.



    Does it contain bugs?

    Bugs are not expected, please report if you find any.

    Known bugs:
    Some units don't show name (to be latter fixed).
    A cannonball strange effect.


    May I expect an other version of the mod in the future?

    Yes, you may. I shall be working the mod more further as soon as I'm done with other modding projects. The plans are to redo the campaign and focus more on the Dutch and British East Indies.

    The mod wasn't beta tested


    Oh yes it was Fortes, I distinctly remember giving you a file called IG2_Beta_1. And I tested it myself to check it all works (which it does).

    EDIT-that said, I did get some rather interesting cannonball effects in one of my battles though.

    Awesome! What about compatibility with other mod? And, about the east indies company, would that be possible to give the portugese one a specific name, like the v.o.c. or e.i.c.for nation with that tradition(G.B. or Holland), and not a general "company infantry" like the other nation that didn't had an historical one(Poland)?

    The Portuguese colonies had never had that much autonomy as the V.O.C and E.I.C had, though they were ruled by a Vice-Roy. I don't know, maybe I'll give some more focus to them in the next version, for now, apart from working more on the Dutch and the British I'm thinking in add more factions to India, all that territory controlled by Maratha and the Mughuls doesn't seem right.

    Note what I said about the artillery bug further up the page. I got that a couple of times, but not always for some reason. I'm guessing its something to do with the DarthMod stuff, but I really have no idea.
    I'll check that.

    sorry for keeping to bother, but i installed it, and it says that it can't find empire. exe, maybe it has to do with a passage of the installation where it said that the directory didn't existed and that it was possible to create it...

    Did you install it to your main empire total war folder? You need to make sure to browse the installer to your main ETW folder when you install. If it asked to create the directory you're installing it to the wrong place.

    Well I'll consider it tested then, I spent more time putting it all together than playing, nothing that didn't happen with the other mods I did

    now i installed it in the regular one (before he tried to install it in a (x68 version of the program folder, that it created) it load, but if i play a custom battle it crashes... apparently only if i use some of the new portugese units...

    Is everything else working? Did you tried to turn the units off in the launcher?

    uhm, westphalia is still westphalia, even if the banner is still the one of the palatinate... and brazil's name is Hessen... yet, since i believe the portrait mod is not a submod of ig II and i see portraits, even if only for kings, there might be some interference from past mod that i cancelled... in truth i find this strange since i completely disintalled empire and cancelled some remaining folder, totally, before reinstalling empire and ig II... is there a way to know if that's the problem?

    You are right, I forgot to update the mod with the correct names. I'll be releasing a hotfix for that this night or tomorrow.

    okay, but this doesn't explain the crashing nor the portrait... what do you believe i did wrong?

    The mod adds new portraits, as for the crash I don't know, did you tried what I said? Disable the units and see if it keeps happening?
