Default my game with the sindh and some questions

    im on turn 53 vhvh
no war until now so im "very trustworthy" (if only they knew)
anyway my strategy was to do whatever i need to contain the ghurids
seeing that in my previous two games as rome they turned out quite unstopable
    so i understood why
the cities under the ghurids and khwarezmians are very poorly defended
    even extremely so

a small note on this matter: the AI attacks cities with much less troops than needed
so much so that the rebel sally out and kill the attackers
when the attacker has enough units, he usually builds some rams and assaults
only to have his ass handed to him

except for my starting castle i couldnt find any castle in which i can build my units...
are the sindh condemned to have only one castle...?

    and last point
the sindh are described as having a wide range of powerful light infantry
in my starting castle there are only like 3 possible infantry units two of which are not that great
and the third is the sindh flag unit (that swordsman i forgot the name)
not such a wide range as i would expect

all in all they are magnificent
there are 3 infantry (and skirmishers) units who's upkeep is 70 per turn
so you can have several stack and yet make about 6000 each turn IN THE BEGINNING
after that you can make even more money
frankly i got too lazy to build anymore stacks eventhough i can afford it

    about 10 turns later
i took one province from the ghurids and kshah took one too from them
eventually i made an allinace with them cause it seemed like they will retake the city from kshah
(i had an alliance with the ks earlier so it forced a truce)
already got the mongol invasion first warning msg so its not long before my ally is going bust

hmm... I would secure western India, by conquering the Ghorids and Ghaznivars. Conquer the Yellow Rajputs afterwards or expand into Yemen. I would use the Khwarezmians and the seljuks as a buffer against the mongols.

As sindh, you will have some good anti elephant units. Those Sindh skirmishers eat Rajput generals for breakfast. You don't have much choice in infantry and turns out to be descent. You can create nice late cavalry and bowmen.
The Khwarezmians and Seljuks have more cavalry based units so your bowman and infantry won't do well against them.

Also note that you can create Indian swordsmen in the Rajput cities and elephants in rajput stables.

dear ash874 and khwarezm, if we go according to history, as we stress in mods, then i want to say that Sindh was not a faction matching rajputs or ghorids etc. they all were much powerful nd vast than sindh. actually sind was aided by ghorids and ghaznvids agains rajputs nd other hindu factions, much like Kingdom of Jerusalem was aided by Crusaders against ayyubid and turks. I think that rajputs and the second hindu faction are not represented historically. in history they were much larger and vast than shown in BC. their armies were very large in numbers although not containing strong units like ghorids or ghaznvids. ghorids and ghaznvid armies were much less in numbers than rajputs but their armies were consisting strong units with very high morale and mobility as compared to rajputs. you can consider sindh as protectorate of ghorid and ghaznvid factions until emergence of delhi sultanate. hope it will give you much information about sindh and real historical sceniorio of sub-continent india in medieval times.
