    Default Silvan Generals, no textures, heavy calvary

    While playing as the Silvans I never had an issue but playing as Mordor the Silvan general units sometimes have heavy cavalry (which they should not), where only the general has a texture and the rest of the men look silver without textures.

    I assume if this isn't something with my installation its been reported before but I could not find a report.

    Don't think I've ever heard of a "bug" like this. As you say the Silvan Elves have no heavy cavalry unit (their only mounted unit are the HAs).

    You sure this isn't submod caused? What's the unit actually called in-game? It's the High Elves who have heavy cav BGs, could that be the unit you're seeing?

    I wonder if it could some kind of scripted unit spawn added by mistake.

    They are general spawns for the Silvan Elves using "Elf Nobel Mount", the heavy cav, as BGs. Unfortunately script changes aren't save game compatible so it can't be fixed for your current campaign. You could add HE skins to the "mongol" entry in the modeldb so they at least look decent.

    This also explains while you never experienced the bug while playing Silvans yourself as the script only applies to the AI.

    Now I just hope KK reads this thread.

    It was reported in the bug thread some time ago.
    There's a "fixed" version of campaign_script.txt in this thread which should fix the problem for anyone running vanilla TATW 2.1, as JAL rightly says it requires a new campaign though.
    The thread also contains detailed instructions for making the required changes to modeldb if you want to fix it that way instead.
