Gambling dens could be found all over the city, but perhaps some of the most famous were those found near the river ports of the Tiber. Men of the senatorial class would rarely venture to these, usually sending a proxy to place their bets for them, but still others found it to be an entertaining pastime. Still, Senators would do well to conceal their true identity if venturing this far into vice-like behavior.
Rules of Roman Dice vs non-NPC: No limit of players. Everyone bets an equal amount, dice a thrown and the highest roll wins. If someone rolls a 7, then they automatically win and the loser(s) are required to pay 3x the original bet. If more than one person gets a 7 then dice are re-rolled.
Cheating:
Desperate gamblers may choose to use loaded dice, implore charioteers to throw a match, etc. Gambling is universally looked down upon but also universally practiced. If caught, fellow players may run you out of the gaming circle, rob you, beat you, or expose you. Exercise caution! There is a 25% chance of getting caught every time.
Loaded dice: Your dice allow for a "Venus" roll twice as often and/or get +2 on your dice roll if the roll is not a seven
