Default Having multiple irritating problems trying to run SS.

    Hey.

I have downloaded SS 6.3 and 6.4, but when i started up 6.4, it didn't take up the full screen - just about a third of it, in a rectangle from the top left corner of the screen, taking up about half of the screen. I wish to play it in full screen, but it won't go to full screen even though i checked the option for widescreen in video options. I cannot work out how to make it properly take up my full screen. Any help?

Edit : While waiting for a response, i decided i might as well just check out what a few factions looked like in the half screen window. However, it will not let me start a campaign - i changed a few settings (difficulty) and selected england, and clicked start. All it did was bring me back to the previous page (with the menu for campaign on it). This was a late era campaign. All help appreciated.

Second Edit : Hooray! More problems! So i decided that since i couldn't start a campaign, i would try to do a historical battle. Guess what? After browsing through some of the descriptions and deciding which one woud be fun to play, a message popped up saying ''Medieval II has encountered an unspecified error'' and shut it down.

I'm unsure as to whether or not this mod is more trouble then it's worth, which is a shame because i used to like the old versions and the new one looks even better.

    Once again, help appreciated.

    Migey,

Please confirm that your MTW2 Screen resolution is equalt to Windows Screen resolution as it needs to be.

When you installed, please confirm that you de-activated your UAC, if using WIN 7 or Vista.

    Historicals battles do not work

    Migey,

User Access Control is the UAC, Win7 it is under User Control Settings in Control Panel, you must disable when you install, can turn on after

    What about your resolution?

Also, i use Vista, not Win7, and its slightly different with the control panel. There are no User Control Settings. There is a 'user accounts and family safety' but that doesn't have it - it's jsut parental controls and password changing. Can't find the user acess control anywhere else either...

Before you re-install do a defrag, clean up and registry clean up, make sure we don't have any leftovers that get in the way
