KGCM 4.3 CTD on Faction select screen

I just installed 4.3 - went from 3.0 to 4.2 to 4.3, as per the directions - and booted up the game. When I go to start a campaign, after clicking through a couple different factions, the game suddenly crashes to desktop with no error message. This has happened twice so far, and I was wondering if there's a known cause for this bug.

I'm using Windows 7, I could dxdiag and look up my hardware specifics if needed. I'm going to try and start a new game a few more times and see if I can figure out any more of a pattern.

UPDATE: I didn't bother clicking around, just went with the first faction I clicked (Sicily), and I haven't had any problems yet. I'll just have to be more decisive, I guess!

or you end up CTD al the times

this type of ctd happens to all mods that add new factions im afraid!

it could also happen if you go from the custom battle menu to grand campaign menu also, and vice-versa.
