    I just noticed this on front page of TWC and I can't said that this isn't something I wanted
    Like someone already stated that CA missed this period

    Could you please give us more pictures and maybe one for world map to see what factions are in and where they are

    Thanks...any thought to including the 30/40 unit mod...seriously, its the best thing to happen to TW since Naval combat!!!

    Also, some more info on game changes would be nice... i coul'nt see anything telling us what the camapign changes are??

    If more people show interest in the 40 unit mod we will consider it

    There is a change log in the Credits when you download the files, but i see people want to have it in the mod thread so I'll but the change log here somewhere today or tomorrow.

    Thanks, in my opinion CA missed a trick here.....ETW should have been based in the 1600's and NTW should have been Empire, if you catch my drift!!

    Will Pikemen fight with pikes or swords when engaged? and will you include serious smoke mods / sound mods similiar to DMUC??

    The pikemen fight with there pikes
    Later on we will change the smoke effects yes, so we have accurate smoke screens like battles in the 1600's had.

    also we are already busy working on accurate campaign music.

    Sounds fantastic!!,

    How about some screen shots of the campaign map, also what years does the game cover? and is it 4 turns per year?. Some alternate campaign and battle music would be great (would really give you a feel your playing a different game), im also an advocate of reduced campaign movement points, as this brings better stratergy into the movement of army's..rather than them just by-passing you and moving through an entire country in two turns!!

    Did i mention the 30xunit mod?...i actually think the unit size of 400 and perhaps 360 for line is a great number and have been playing this wiith ETW+DM for some time, as to the unit mod, i think the 30x mod is the best with ETW because of fort battles, it does'nt seem to effect FPS either.

    Looking forward to this one!

    the screens of the campaign will be up later today the campaign starts in 1650 to 1750 2 turns per year we found that the best balanced for this mod

    EDIT : This beta will give you a few hours of fun be sure to download it and follow our advances

    Arggh! I am so frustrated. I just can't get it to work. I followed the readme file precisely. But when i open empire total war it just starts Vanilla. I don't have modmanager but i did copy the script file in the appdata/roaming/the creative assembly etc file wherre its supposed to go. But it doesn't work.

    The user.script file contains the following info:

    mod "V1650_v.1_WIP.pack";


    Is this correct? It doesn't seem to bring up the mod. Please help. i really want to play this mod!

    Make it mod "V1650-V1pack";

    This is a mistake i made I'm very sorry,i use mod manager so I'm very sorry.

    Thanks for the swift reply. However, that doesn't work either. Still only opens as Vanilla.

    Is it case sensitive? Am i typing it wrong?

    mod "V1650-V1pack";

    have tried

    mod "V1650-V1.pack";

    what am i missing?

    I extracted both the pack files into the data folder. And the 'V1650 Main' folder into data/campaigns. Anything else i should have done?

    mod "V1650-V1.pack";

    should work. Launch the game with the mod, go to campaigns and see if the starting date is 1650.
    save the user.script as unicode not ansi

    And let me hear the results.

    Got it working. Great.

    The problem was that the script file was misnamed. you named the file "user.script" rather than "user.empire_script". The new file works. Thanks for sorting that. Will look forward to playing.

    Noticed on forst starting up that the conscripts for United Provinces cost 50.00 to raise, but 700.00 to maintain. Is that deliberate?

    Also, is there any reason why Scotland has Union Jack instead of st Andrew's flag and they also control Ireland?

    Anyway, thanks for all your work. This mod looks excellent.

    thats because the first script was made by hand and the second with mod manager

    Yes thats to simulate the economic problems conscription cause
    Thats to simulate the English Civil War later on it will be better done but there was a shortage of time because i promised a new version in January

    General Brewster,
    Let me say that I love this initiative.
    As an amateur historian and warfare specialist I have a lot of info and books on this period.
    My great uncle was General Secretary for the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, he also gave me a lot of info.
    This weekend I will send you guys some idea's and facts that can help perhaps.
    I will also start testing your new mod.
