    Default Medieval National Music

    Greetings.

I would like you all to post here music from your countries that are medieval or have a medieval feel. This game needs a bit more authentic sound and here we can all present some songs and music we think would be appropriate for MTW2 and hence Stainless Steal. Also I would like them in my submod.

Please don't post chauvinistic or songs that insult other peoples or nations.
    Let us enjoy the diversity

In medieval Serbia most songs were church music, so I'll start with these two:

For this one I don't know if it's from middle ages, but it has a certan medieval feel:

    Hi,
Did i get your idea right ? Can you set different music to different factions ?
As most of polish medieval songs (that survived to this point) were religously oriented, they were mostly in latin. Here are 2 that are in polish:

Bogurodzica (probably the first polish anthemn)

    and one in latin:

There are tons of these in latin so if you need more pm me.
The first 2 would be also great instead of pre-battle speeches for Poland.

that's a great idea Serbian Hussar! after a while of playing SS6.3 and SS6.4, i can't hear the standard music anymore! my hometown is an old medieval city near Munster in the heart of westphalia (germany)! every year we got a big medieval spectacle here. with lots of artists playing very nice medieval music! in the last years i haven't got the chance to buy some music on cd from them! but i'll try it this year again!

but i'm a soundtrack collector and i searched into my collection for the best tracks to be used in SS! it takes me 3 days to sort them out and some tracks had to be cut for the right mood and to fit into game! overall i found over 200 tracks with over 800 mb on size!

i know it's forbidden to post a download link for that about the copyright laws! but i would like to inform you about which albums are useful!

    here we go:

    - Alan Silvestri - Beowulf
    - Alan Silvestri - Van Helsing (nice for eastern european music)
    - Atli Örvarsson - The Eagle (includes nice scots pips)
    - Atli Örvarsson - The Season Of The Witch
    - Bear McCreary - Battlestar Galactica (includes some tracks with nice scots pipes)
    - Brian Tyler - Timeline
    - Christian Henson - Black Death (some nice gregorian songs)
    - Christopher Young - Priest
    - Danny Elfman - Planet Of The Apes (includes 1-2 nice epic battle music)
    - Geoff Zanelli - Outlander
    - Hans Zimmer & Henry Jackman - Henri 4 (a lot of medieval tracks)
    - Harry Gregson-Williams - Kingdom Of Heaven
    - Harry Gregson-Williams - Prince Of Persia - The Sands Of Time (nice arabic music)
    - James Horner - Breaveheart
    - Jeremy Soule - Morrowind (Special Edition) (OK another game, but nice medieval music)
    - Jerry Goldsmith - The 13th Warrior
    - Jerry Goldsmith - Timeline (The Rejected Score)
    - Klaus Badelt - Solomon Kane
    - Lorne Balfe - Crysis 2 ( crysis 2 ??? ... hell, includes the best battle music i ever heard!!!)
    - Lorne Balfe - Ironclad (very nice)
    - Marc Streitenfeld - Robin Hood (very nice)
    - Roque Baños - Alatriste
    - Steve Jablonsky - Your Highness (comedy film, but very nice and epic music)
    - Trevor Jones & Randy Edelman - The Last Of The Mohicans
    - Trevor Morris - The Pillars Of The Earth (very nice tracks)
    - Trevor Morris - The Tudors (Seasion 1)
    - Trevor Morris - The Tudors (Seasion 2)
    - Trevor Morris - The Tudors (Seasion 3)
    - Trevor Morris - The Tudors (Seasion 4)

that's all for the moment! and i included the whole tracks from Jeff van Dyck - Medieval: Total War and the add on Viking Invasion!

    hope this helps someone ?

i only still looking forward for some more arabic and eastern european music!! hard to get some!

    salute,
The night was so black, as we planned to attack!
