    Default 'Offset Terrain Display'

    Hi, a little issue:

    I have lifted the fog via the weather.xml thing, discovering the offset terrain ends quite early and looks ugly.
    Now I am asking whether there is a file telling how much area is displayed with trees and higher resolution texture?

    To give an imagination of what I am talking about a little picture:



    I want forrest on that whole thing and high(er) resolution textures everywhere (if possible also enlarging the whole terrain piece).
    Is there anything to do about it?

    On the distance where it stops rendering totally try magpie's idea at end of this thread

    or have a talk to him and see if he got any further....
    (think the blank bits on battle editor are the bits that show black in my campaign map example in that thread)

    higher definition textures further out - not sure descr_geography if anywhere


    tree distance (assume you're using the highest preference settings in which case tall_vegetation sprites already go to 'infinity')

    IWTE does a convert vegetation.db to text and back again - either with that or hex editor you could try experimenting with this bit:

    Thanks a lot for that, unfortunately things seem not to work as I hoped.
    I can modify said number in 'placementbands 1' up to 2056, everything above makes a ctd when starting a battle (I did not try to decrease that number). Also I have the impression it doesn´t really make a difference at all about the display distance of trees/vege.
    Magpie's idea about enlarging that tga file also doesn´t alter anything (might it only affect the vanila/root?)...
