Can't find savegame anywhere? (XP)

I recently downgraded from Windows 7 to Windows XP and reinstalled Empire: Total War. Before I downgraded, I made sure that I backed up all of the existing savegames that were on Windows 7.

I'm on XP now and I'm having trouble finding the Total War savegame directory. I even ran a search for it and nothing came up. I find this very odd because I actually started the game and saved a game on there, but cannot find where it saved.

Typically it'd be in a folder named "The Creative Assembly", however, apparently this folder doesn't exist.

Help would be appreciated.

You have to unhide all files and folders In Folder Options to find it.

I appreciate the response, irishron. I've heard this suggestion before. Which specific folder should I unhide my files in? Additionally, how do I unhide? Is this an option in the properties panel?

The game save files (under XP) should be under the user's application data folder.

Should be something like: C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\save_games
where <username> is your log in under XP.

You can unhide the folder by using windows explorer; Tools > Folder Options, select the View tab and click the "Show Hidden files and folders" radio button.
