    Default rebel scum

Is the any way to decrease the frequency of the rebel spawns in this version? I am talking about the ones wandering around the map... In my Averni campaign I am doing nothing else just chasing them around. All cities have green happiness but i get 1-2 spawns per turn and it is really boring having to go and kill them all the time instead of fighting serious battles against other factions (the ones that don't end in CTDs ... ). I know one could adjust this in 1.5 in descr_strat.txt. Good show by the way but it really needs rectuit/ build guide... totally lost as to what and how and where and how to build and why...
Oh yes and I am playing RTW again so thanks and hurry up already with the port "taps his foot impatiently"

Well, playing as the Arverni one needs to bear in mind there are a lot of tribes that take a particular dislike to being told what to do. You can't really expect everyone to volunteer their independance to your benevolent rule.

Jesus, so your advice is "switch the computer off"? Some of us mind spending extra 45 minutes per turn fighting 3 -5 unit armies... I know i do.

There is no way to affect the rate of brigands in 1.2.

I can't speak for others and from what I understood rebel attacking cities is kind of uncommon but they always siege my cities even on medium gameplay at a peace that drove me nuts. I can't do anything but defend against them. One way to keep them in one place is buid observation towers. My rebels seem fascinated by those. They gather there and admire the landscape. Other way is to nerfe scripted AI asistance for rebels which reduced somehow the rate at which rebel cities generate wandering stacks after their garison is full.

If you're Armenia or the Getai, you can find that the rebels are pretty agressive. When I was playing as Armenia, the surrounding rebels ganged up on me and exterminated my faction! When I was the Getai, I lost Buridava to an attacking force of horse archers. Fortunately I had an army in Sarmiszegethusa that came and reconquered Buridava, but it set me back to an enormous extent.

Well thank you for your answers, The rebels issuing from rebelcities i can live with and understand but the ones spawning at random within my borders ( i go watchtower crazy by the way without any noticeable effect) and having to march across France to exterminate yet another "one cav with 4 warbands" reminds me why I stopped playing the barbarians in the vanilla in the first place...
By the way they must be getting infinite funding to able to build MIC 4-5s in their ciries(which are losing money every turn) AND spawn Peltrasts like there is no tommorrow...
