Icon7 difference between Easy, Med and Hard on the campaign map

Sorry if this is a silly question, But can anyone tell me what the difference is between Easy, Med and Hard on the campaign map please.

I know in battles its to do with Morale bonus ie Easy +1 morale and Hard -1 morale so on. But I have never known the difference on the campaign map. I am running SS6.4 at the mo.

    Thanks in advance.

When you lower difficulty, AI has less cash and is lazier to attack you. Play VH/VH.

you also have a lot more rebels in your territorys, which can be fun, they break the game up and give your local garrisons far from your front lines a chance to gain some exp

also ai attacks more due to larger cash as said above, and take ages to actually DO anything tbh. pretty static game. also seems to produce better quality troops.
this is coming from a player who spent years on M/M and then went to VH/M 1 year ago in my games. so i have a broad scope of the differences.

    i personally play VH/M

Even if there's an excuse to not play VH campaign (to have more peaceful AI), there's absolutely 0 excuse to not play VH battles...

Different people have different likes or dislikes, and skill levels.

I've personally always forced myself to go VH/VH, because it feels like more of a success when I get anything significant done, but that doesn't mean that I'd encourage someone new or who is unsure of what to do to start at that.

delra, i play wth m in battles coz it pisses me off the advantages the ai get,its not like i havent tried it (and won) i played a full english campaign where my empire expanded aqcross the entire map, on VH/VH and found that the battle moral advantage the ai gets is annoying. plus my time in game is limited, i do not have the luxury of real time spending wasting away in a city my main army retraining, especially with the amount of time the pool takes to refresh in ss, but that is another thread.

VH lets you fight endless stacks of Byzantines but other than that it is fun.

I believe people should play at any difficulty they like.

I usually play H/VH, although I recently started a VH/VH campaign. And to tell you the truth, it seems to me that the AI is sending less stacks at me than at H/VH. Prolly a coincidence, though...

P.S. And yeah, if you are playing SS, the measure of how "hardcore" you are isn`t what difficulty level you are using. It is what version of BGR you are using .
