Icon9 CTD on startup - unspecified error

    Hi guys,
I read good thing about this mod and wanted to give it a try but I can't get it to work.
    I did:

-Installed Medieval II and Kingdoms from disk
-Looked into user rights of the Medieval II directory to take care of UAC, but it already had full permissions for users
    -Installed SS6.3 with admin rights
-Applied the installation patcher v.2.5 with admin rights
    -Installed SS6.4 with admin rights

The on startup it first shows the SS loader, then the Medieval II loader and at about half progress CTD with "unspecified error", thats the log:

    15:18:31.158 [system.rpt] [always] CPU: SSE2
15:18:31.159 [system.rpt] [always] ==== system log start, build date: Feb 25 2008 version development ===
    15:18:31.232 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_0.pack
    15:18:31.232 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_1.pack
    15:18:31.234 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_2.pack
    15:18:31.236 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_3.pack
    15:18:31.238 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/data_4.pack
    15:18:31.255 [system.io] [always] mounted pack packs/localized.pack
15:18:58.203 [system.rpt] [error] Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.

I also wasn't able to find any superfluous directories in C/users or C/Programs86 and I also don't have a SS6.3 directory inside the SS6.3 directory.

I already tried three times, hope somebody has an idea.
