Scouting Mission to Northern Italy
Lucius Petrus Dextrus was unnerved by the recent events. He had to find out if Cisalpine Gaul was being invaded, as some had claimed. Rumors were only rumors, but the ones that sounded feasible are actually worth investigating, especially when the well-being of the Republic is on the line.
Thus, he sent a small scouting party to the north. Ten men can travel faster than an army, and could outride any Germanic barbarians who happened to see them. There was little risk and much reward - knowledge is the greatest treasure, after all.
ooc: I'm antsy and bored.
