    Default Fun faction for AAR

Hey everyone, I've decided to write an AAR - one of those campaign stories, maybe w/ a protagonist, but I'm not sure what faction to pick. I'm looking for one that's got strong infantry and a solid starting point. Any suggestions ?

Oh and I've played as EE England, EE CS (failed miserably), and EE Genoa.

    Thanks guys

    My vote goes to Poland!

Norway might be what you are looking for, they have great infantry and while they only have 2 settlements at the start it's a great position because no one will attack them right away.

Sicily, because I think the best part of AARs are the dynamics: so many different things can happen. With Sicily, your home is typically not threatened, and you have a choice of who you want your enemy to be, whether it be the Moors, the Fatmids, Leon, Aragon, Genoa, Venice, the Byzantines.. endless.

    Late era Eastern Romans.

    Just kidding.
In any case, any of the tougher late era campaigns
or REALLY tough early era ones like Lithuania are AAR-worthy.

Best AARs are written with seriously underplayed factions. Figure out who's least popular and take your best shot at them.

    My suggestion: Egypt.

Thanks everyone for their responses. I looked through the first couple of pages in the AAR section and I found that there wasn't a Polish AAR...so I'm going to try my hand at that. I've got school right now, but I'll try my best to start and update it. Thanks again

I am Polish, but I don't like playing Poland much due to weak city roster of theirs. In general, it's far more comfy to play countries that have good city units. Some archers, some pikes, maybe even some swords/axes.

Poland has it easy early on. Later, it prolly gets harder...

    CS!

Fact that you failed last time would make it truly intresting AAR to follow.
    But you already picked Polish

Well, I'm not set, I really do want to start an AAR, but I just can't find the time to being one School's keeping me so busy

It doesn't have to be an underplayed faction! A French AAR is good but it isn't underplayed

Would be fun to play the French and surrender all the battles unless against Italians...
