    Default export_descr_unit?

    as all modders know thatfolder changes the units statistics but there been a little bit of difficulty for me you see i like to play as the greek cities and ake them better but as i do that it increases other greek factions aswell so you can probaly guess what i am going to say next how can i make so it just increases the greek cities fation army's with out increasing other greek factions?

    Aren't those units splitted? Then you just need to change the stats of the hoplite and stuff like that.

    Yes, unless you make the units unique to the greek cities the changes you make will affect all factions who get the unit.

    you could make several copies of the units, one for seleucid, one for greek and macedon etc. and just change the stats for the greek one. I'm not sure but you may have to change the names to something like "greek cavalry greek" or "greek cavalry seleucid", if thats the case then you have to change other files like export_descr_buildings.txt and export_descr_sounds_unit_voice.txt.

    how about this i choose the unit i want to change and i find its stats or whatever they are called and copy it then on the copy just have the ownership greek so the factions still have the same unit but the greeks cities only have that change

    Won't work, can't have 2 units with the same name.

    Yes, but then you would need to add an entry for it in export_descr_buildings, export_units and it wouldn't have any unit cards.

    You can create your own one, but than you will have to create entries in other files. This requires a bit of modding knowledge. And place dots and commas, because its difficult reading you posts.

    First go to export_descr_unit.txt and searches for the name of the model (if you don't know what that is just read the intro of the document) and go to descr_model_battle.txt and copy the block about the unit. But change the name a little bit like hoplite_greek, hoplite_seleucid.

    Then remember the name and go to export_descr_unit.txt and copy the block of the original unit and change the name of the unit in the copy to the new unit name. And change the ownership to the faction that you want.

    Go to export_descr_buildings.txt (or something like that) and change the name of the unit again.

    You can do that for all the different kins of hoplites or just for the greek.
