ok great, that would fix the louis and phillip problem but what about the isabelle issue

aslong as you do Louis and Philip as Tnz has suggested, then you shouldn't need to worry about the Isabelle problem.

the problem is that it has two relative lines for Philip Capet....

yup I know the error message is confusing but they don't tend to be that accurate but am sure you shouldn't have that sort of duplicated identical name appearing as father in two different relative lines......

shouldn't work as Luis is 60 and according to that line has a son philip who is 85!


(not entirely convinced about some of the other suggestions about louisA as that still doesn't seem to obey the father /son age rules)



erm, basically start again - draw out family tree graphically with who is related to who and calculate required age gaps then try and enter it into strat when you know you have the correct relationships....

EDIT: just spotted that your other Philip Capet is a 40 year old that's on the map.... he needs to have a different name to the dead one!!!

the easiest way to sort it out would be just to change Isabelle to a different name!

the crash does happen on that last relative line though, at Isabelle, which suggests the rest of it is ok!

no the message is generating at the point it reaches Isabelle.... but as you actually said in your first reply to the OP it's the two Philip Capet entries that are doing it...


what it's thinking is Isabelle can't be married to Philip because Blanche is already married to Philip in the line above.... but the log / error messages don't always read particularly well (like other instances where it says settlement can't be built at x, but actually means port etc. etc. etc...)

The Source: The problem was caused by having two characters named Louis and Phillip in the faction's family tree. There is actually no problem with Isabelle at all.
