    Default Favorite warrior culture?

Your favorite warrior culture of the era?

Mine is the vicious Celts, although Romans are close second.

I'll say Celts, and more specifically, Galatians.

I prefer the Hellenic professional soldiers above all, the Romans being a close runner up.

I like them all (that is why I like to play factions like Carthage or Seleucid Empire which have a bit of everithing) but Celts also belong to my favourites.

The Sarmatians, you have to be really scary to conquer and absorb the Scythians, their dragon standards and scale armor must have been a really strange and frightening sight.

Yeah, I like them, too. They're believed by many to be the source of the Amazon myth in Greek mythology.

Meh. Those Hellenic professionals found themselves hiring as many Celtic professionals as they could get their hands on.

Not to mention that the vast majority of them weren't actually professionals in the first place.

I'm not sure if you by "warrior culture", you mean a culture that was centered around war and a warrior attitude, a culture that produced famous warriors historically, or a culture that simply engaged in war , but for now I'll go with my favorite culture militarily and otherwise, being the Phoenicians, especially the Karthadastim. Hellenic and Makedonian cultures come in as close seconds.

Phoenicians themselves were warriors of the sea.

True. That's why Punic armies in VII will be composed entirely of AoR/Mercenary troops, supplemented by those transported to a border area by Carthage itself to become a colony full of new soldiers (I'm talking about the Liby-Phoenicians here). The only real Carthaginian soldiers in game are the Sacred Band troops, and probably their navies which provided a job for the poor citizens.
