    Default Arrows and Archers

just a breif question, why on earth are arrows so innaccurate in thsi mod? they kind of,, bombard the enemy rather then shoot them. i never understood this, i know historically it was volleys, but gameplay wise this really sucks, even seeing ai shoot my men makes me cringe since my men take about half the casualtys they would then in lets say, TATW.

any mod out there that changes this?

Changing the accuracy of projectiles does not require a submod. Simply change a few numbers in descr_projectile. For example
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    projectile arrow

    effect arrows_new_set
    end_effect arrow_impact_ground_set
    end_man_effect man_impact_tiny_set
    end_package_effect arrow_impact_wall_set
    end_shatter_effect arrow_impact_ground_set
    end_shatter_man_effect man_impact_tiny_set
    end_shatter_package_effect arrow_broken_impact_wall_set

    effect_offset -1.5
    damage 0
    radius 0.1
    mass 0.04
    accuracy_vs_units 0.0675
    min_angle -80
    max_angle 70
    velocity 21 42
    display aimed
    effect_only

Change that .0675 to something lower. Lower accuracy number means it's more accurate.

Keep in mind that even in battles like Agincourt which historically are celebrated as massive wins for archers required somewhere between 25-50 arrows for every Frenchman slain. If you figure not all the French died to arrows that number is even higher.

Yeah that is the point... arrows have to represent a whole range of conditions.
