Cheers for all your tips guys on makin money,, i started a new campaign and completed all objectives well before the deadline.

As i was making so much money I decided to play on a bit.

Having conquered all of spain and pushed east as far as belgrade ,, I seem to have hit stalemate.

Im in 1818,, My Navy is massive and I have ships blocking ALL french ports,, I have destroyed all their fleets at sea.

Thing is ,, my major allies like Russia , Prussia and Austria are mostly gone,, Russia still has a couple of regions but are not much threat to france. I have liberated prussia and austria numerous times , kept forces near bye until they have a couple of full armies,,, but they always get over run soon after I move away, or get drawn into another battle. I have now tried offering additional regions I own to the likes of Italy ,, to try and help an Ally build up. I have also now despached 2 full armies to head North East tO russia and try help them open another front to draw away the french a bit. Im also sending an army to Istanbul to do the same.

I keep wondering tho HOW THE **** can the french keep having so many FULL strength armies everywhere one after another,, I have major trade partners and ships and am making about 20-30K a turn,, they have NO ports NO SHIPS and only one trade partner in sweden,,and have effectively land locked !! (( if they werent one of my trade partners i would have taken them out )),,,,, when i get to X amount of armies ,, i start losing cash,, but the french dont seem to have this problem???

Is it a NO WIN SCENARIO ???? dont want to waste any more time if it is,,, has anyone EVER destroyed the french Nation totally off the map ,, and if so how long did it take lol ??????

If your campaign is such that the other allies are nearly all gone, then you need to capture territory yourself because your income from trade will dwindle away once the major states have gone (unless your protectorates are economically well developed). If you constantly find that you have fewer armies than the opposition, make sure that you fight a passive-aggressive campaign. That is, as you advance, position your armies into good defensive locations (such as bridgeheads) and allow the French to attack you. That way you should be able to grind their armies down in a war of attrition.

In the coalition campaign, I've always found that as the French advance to the east they tend to leave their own 'home' territories very poorly defended. I assume that you're playing as Britain, in which case, after capturing Spain, capture the three southern French provinces and dart up the western coast to capture Brittany (immediately set that as a protectorate so that the French don't counter-attack). Then continue along the north coast capturing the French regions there. If at any point the French counter-attack, use the many bridges to allow you to fight a defensive bridge battle (even if you loose, it should be a pyrrhic victory for the French). The result is that you should end up surrounding the central France region. If you're strong enough to capture Paris, go ahead and take it. If you're not strong enough to hold on to it, sack the region completely (destroy all of the buildings) and withdraw. With their home regions taken or weakened the remaining French armies should start to struggle against the other allies. You should just then be able to kill them off at your leisure.

Cheers mate,, but I already have Brittany as a protectorate and took Paris ages ago and advanced as far North as Denmark taking Dresden and Munich and in the south as far as the Balkans. I took Milan and gave it back to Italy to try and build an Ally (although they have lived up to their reputation and never done anything other than run from battle areas lol ) and have stopped at the next region in the south east of there,, ( i lost croatia and had to pull back ). But even tho im hitting them on two fronts and they have no way of making money that I can see,, they still seem to be able to turn over super army after super army,, and I think the AI intentially screws you over at times. I remember one region I went to take with 3 armies , I outnumbered the french force 2500 - 900 , I hit the auto resolve as it was about 90% in my favour only to see MY ARMIES get destroyed !!!!,,, will see how thing develp when my troops in russia and instanbul start to cut in from the east

Auto-resolve is bugged to hell and back. If the virtual lives of your soldiers mean anything to you, don't use it. :p

Also, as long as you control the trade nodes it doesn't matter who you're trading with, you'll still make loads of money.

In NTW, you still need trade partners in order to get any income from the trade nodes. If you have only small trade partners then the income is limited by the amount that the partners can afford to buy.

No partners = no income; you'll see the potential amount shown against the trade routes from the trade nodes to your ports but when you check the economics tabs you'll see there's no actual income.

Well, disband all navy you don't need. Only takes a trade ship to blockade a port, so you could save a ton of money that way. Only keep a ship outside of ports that he might obtain by taking a region so you can immediately raid/blockade it. I've actually whiped out France and Spain before meeting all campaign objectives before lol. Real easy for England.

Omg..... i was playing as Great Britain (yes yes once again ....), i had taken northern France, Spain, Portugal, and Southern France. France has 3 provinces left, i rush to Paris and seize it to my control. Well what do you know, Napoleon appears out of nowhere with his grand army, and two more full stack armies are closing in from the east. have fun defending with a half dead stack.....

There's an AAR titled 'Liberation' in which one guy was playing VH/VH and watched as Britain, and let France conquer the entirity of Europe... then he took it apart , piece by piece and every region he captured he liberated. So yes, it is possible.

I'd recommend reading that, not just for the entertainment, but perhaps for the strategic use of it aswell.

i already won the campaign with every faction, the trick is to capture Paris quick (if you are GB, if you are anyone else dont let them take Vienna)
Besides that, in VH the bonuses of the Ai, are just stupid
I sugest that you liberate every region, instead of conquering, keep just some small bases
