I just wanted to thank everybody in the Stainless Steel team - you guys have made a spectacular mod that has given more life to this fantastic game. Just wanted to say, that all the effort is highly appreaciated :-)

Here here, you have shown the paid devs how to produce a real game. Bought MTW2 when released hated it and now playing again thanks SS6.4.

IMHO the creators of the total war series should be embarrassed by the high quality of mods produced it really highlites just how little they know about what gamers want

On the contrary, I think CA should be applauded for giving their fans the tools to make such mods. For most games you can't make such in-depth and amazing mods. I'd much rather take a developer who makes crap games (not saying M2 is a crap game) and gives us the tools to improve it rather than a developer who makes decent games and leaves us with no support for modding.

Once I played a CA game without a single mod and it was sort of fun. Then I played a mod without any of that crap CA released but it wouldn't run at all...

Majority of the tools are made by M2TW fanbase not by CA.

Well, the fact that they even included an unpacker makes them more modder-friendly than most of the devs out there. There's so many great PC games that have no mods or only very, very basic mods available because of the lack of any sort of tools.

The game is from 2006, those were different times, now a lot has changed unfortunately. And on warscape titles the full credit in my books goes to modders like Taw.
