Ways how to beat cataphrachts/urbans

Well, I had played Rome Total War for several months and i have found a way how to beat the most annoying troops in the game.

For cataphract factions i used scythia, bought 6 head hunting maidens (gold/gold) and i just easily owned those cataphracts.Also works against praetorians.Or just fight cataphracts against cataphracts.

For urban cohorts i chosen carthage (seluicids works too) i bought 6 sacred band cavalry (gold/gold) and 6 normal sacred bands (gold attack) plus 2 lybian spearmen protecting the flanks.
I put my sacred bands in loose formation so they wont take so much loses from pilla and also i disabled guard mode.I charged with my sacred bands against urbans and when they lost around 50% of their men i charged with my sacred band cavalry and urban cohorts routed so easily.
Or you just can use lots of archers to shoot them to death.

I'm not sure if I wrote cataphracts correctly lol.

Recently I have beaten a "horde" of cataphracts with a "combined arms tactics" of 3 triarii + 3 praetorian cavalry + 3 archers.

Maybe I will record a video from that battle.

Urbans are quite easy but the most annoying part is when they throw pilla and destroys like 20-30% of my army.That's why I bring meat shields to take care of it =P

Ok - here some screens from that battle:

1st screen shows my Ally's cav and some inf being routed by enemy cav (catas + praets).

Then I sent my triarii, cav and archers to save the rest of my ally's army and repulse those catas & praets.
