Consul Cilo, and legate of the II. Italica and Prefect of the IX. arrives near Capua with his 12 Lictors. They were aware a legion was here, allied to the Scipio family, having been an old friend of the family, Cilo asked to see Severianus Mercurius. He carried with him a letter.

Okay do the following way, write a text where you tell how you plan to get into the city and reach Severianus Mercurius. The city will be guarded by patrols of the XV Scipii as to make it harder. Darth Storm or one of his followers shall write a text describing how the patrols are done, etc etc. Send this by pm to MagicMan, if he can't do it then send it to me. Whatever receives your texts will have to create end to it and decide if Severian agent gets in touch with Severianus Mercurius or not.

Despite some crafty maneuvering by the representatives of the Magnus, they were unable the Legate as he had been sequestered in a tent and surrounded by armed guards with orders to kill any they do not recognise attempting to speak with the Legate.

Cilo himself is captured as he faces to his knees and begs for mercy while revealing his true identity.

OOC: That seems ridiculous. Did DS find a map of Capua and use it? Or plant a letter? or start a ruccus? No I doubt it but oh well.

Cilo reveals his name, yet he screams it at the top of his voice hoping to attract the Legate's attention,

"I am Senator Spurius Octavius Cilo! And I demand to see the Severus."

The words carried across the empty and dark city.

The Senator continues to shout, as loud as possible, the Severus must hear him,

"I bear a message from Senator Scipio!"

He continues to shout,

"He asks you go to Rome, where he awaits you!"

He although restrained know these men would not kill a man who was a Roman citizen without trial, or any man for that matter. OOC: And its up to ForteS anyway

"I am a Roman Citizen."

He continues this phrase, the final defence for any Roman in these situations

Congratulations and capturing Cilo, Mercurius ! The Senate owes you greatly for your efforts. I advise he be brought to Sicily, as a political hostage but treated cordially. However you may do with him as you like...

Furthemore, I know Capua has been good to you, but it is entirely indefenisble. You are required to set sail immediatly for Messana with your legion, our ships are in full control of the Strait of Sicily, so there will be no issue. Also, our treasury is large and your soldiers will be well supplied...and well paid here.

I look foward to meeting you in Messana within the month.

OOC: While I don't agree with DS's actions in this case, legality was never a given limit. At this stage all his actions do is add to the growing gulf between both parties. It should be noted that the significance of this event is not to be overlooked, Roman blood has been spilled.

OOC: DS's argument was considerably more than that, and while I appreciate the length of time you put into yours that doesn't change the outcome in this instance. ForteS can do as he wishes with this.
