    Default Exorcism

I feel like I need an exorcism. I don't know why, but i've been getting strange urges lately. Sometimes I do things with my hands and fingers completely involuntarily, not just a nervous twitch either, my hands and arms have started uncontrollably shaking for whole minutes before. I've been having fell, disturbing dreams. They all involve the same thing, fire, death and some figure that I never get to see the face of. He or rather It is man sized yet I have this feeling like it's massive and powerful. It's a dark figure, in a black cloak with a crown of dull iron on its head. I never see it's face, as it turns to me I always wake up in a cold sweat. I get these strange urges to say things to people that i'd never say before. And my parents tell me that I talk in my sleep, they say that's it's just rubbish sounds that don't mean anything. They also say I never did this before. I can find no medical reason for me to do this, I know puberty does crazy things to you but i've never heard of this crap before. So, you religious people, would you recommend me talking to a priest about these dreams?

You should talk to a priest.
But use the exorcism as a last resort.

Man go see a doctor immediatley, if your arms are shaking uncontrollably for minutes on end thats not right, who knows what that could be. I know you asked for religious help but man, see a doctor first.

You definatly need to get that checked out. I think I have heard of this before, Hitler had something that made him twitch, and it wasn't good.

I'm NOT giving medical advice here but Epilepsy can cause some of those symptoms:

    Partial seizures

    * Simple partial seizures. These seizures begin from a small area in your brain and don't result in loss of consciousness. They may cause uncontrolled shaking of an arm, leg, or any other part of your body; alter emotions; change the way things look, smell, feel, taste, or sound; or cause speech disturbance.

Like I said see a doctor. ASAP if this is an everyday occurance.

I say see a doctor. If it doesnt works, than do whatever seems right (a priest if you want),especially if you start writing stuff in languages you don't know and if you can make 360's with your head. Yeah.

I'm not medical expert either but I know that they recognise repetitive strain injury which causes problems with the hands. We get alot on the building sites with men who use vibrating tools. But it's also common with people who use a keyboard daily, I don't know how long you spend on a computer each day.

No idea about the dreams though, you might be possessed.

People have died during exorcism rituals. I would have to echo those who tell you to go see a doctor.

Don't let a Romanian Preist get his hands on you. He will exorcise you and so far the survival rate of Romanian Exorcisms aren't that good.

I would recommend a doctor, perhaps a preist if you think its religious enough. Just as long as he doesn't tie you to a cross

First you need to exclude that your shaking is caused by Parkinson's desease or Cerebral palsy. Go to a physician, he will refer you to a neurologist.

After this is excluded, ask your physician or the neurologist about Conversion Disorder.

If you need more info PM me.

    EDIT
P.S. One minute after I answered your post, I opened my e-mail. A student of mine e-mailed me asking about a presentation she wants to do on somatoform disorders. Conversion disorder IS one of the somatoform disorders...
According to the topics available in my class the chance of her asking this is about 1/25. However the chance of her asking this today is 1/10. (they have 10 weeks to prepare a topic). My rusty maths say that the total probability was 1/250. Consider yourself lucky...

I would say see a priest first. I doubt medicine can stop you from having these visions. See your priest and start to read the bible if you wish to stop these. From what I have been brought up to believe, these are all bad signs. Do these if you really are expieriencing these feelings, read the bible, keep a crucifix with you, see a priest. All of these should help if this is truely a religious problem.

And how, precisely, does consulting a biased historical account assuage medical afflictions?

My friend, cut the mumbo jumbo and consult your general practitioner. Procrastination will serve no purpose. If it truly is a demonic possession, according to your beliefs, exorcism should be a last resort.

Can you say Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God? If you can buddy, you're not possessed...

As was said before it may be a case of epilepsy, with the images self-inflicted as a way for your mind to justifice the shakes. What probably happened is that you felt the shakes and subconiously associated it with possession, thus your mind tricked you in thinking you were possessed.

The shakes can also be caused by nervousness or sleep deprivation...

I wouldn't go to a priest, they might end up trying to trepan the evil out of you. See what a doctor says, if he can find no reasonable explanation you should approach a psychologist. I don't want to delve into any painful memories but it could be attributed to any deep insecurities or even PTSD.

you should really see a doctor right away, because i had a unlce who dropped things, and his hands shaked like crazy, and then the doctor found out that he had brain cancer

but not to make you nervous, it probably might be some weird cycle your going through, i've heard alot wierder stuff.
