    Default No Ships for Carthage?

    Hi everyone,

at first let me say: great great mod!
Been playing Cimbri, Romans, Pergamon and now Carthage, and with them I've come across a problem. I can't build any ships except in Carthago itself; in that City, there is the unique "Naval Base of Carthage" but in any other city the game just doesnt let me build ships. I have ports there, of course, but in the descriptions it doesnt say "Enables training of:...".
It's kind of weird for a mighty seafarer nation like carthage to have almost no ships...

    Am I missing something?

You can build ships in Genoa, Nova Carthago, Pollentia and Thapsus from the start. I just checked and that seems OK.

    Maybe a faulty install?

I cant build ships in Pollentia! oO

Everything else works just fine, so I dont think it's a faulty install... weird...

I ran a brand new Carthage campaign, never even hit the end turn and just checked all the Carthaginian settlements and I could build ships in Pollentia.

Can you just take screen shots of all your port cities and the recruitable units?

Here are screenshots of Pollentia and Carthago Nova, I've build dockyards there.
I also added a screenshot of Carthago, the only place I can build ships atm.

    Pollentia:

In the other port cities it looks just as in Pollentia and Carthago Nova...

I have the same problem. I've been able to build ships in Mirobriga and Crotona as well as Carthage but thats all.

I also can't build Sacred Band units or Marines in the vast majority of my cities.

Does anyone know how to unlock this by modding?

I received this piece of advice but I've tried it and it doesn't work:

If there is anything after { germans, } just remove it, and the unit will be recruitable everywhere"

This was a solution provided by Dvk to make generals recruitable everywhere.

The same thing is done to every other unit. Just go to the Carthage part of the file and find the unit you want to make available.

I checked, and it's the same for me! Didn't see it first because I have only tier 1 ports there, so I can only build one type of ship.

Its really frustrating now that i have territories like Byzantion and Antiochiea. I have to sail my navies, marines and sacred bands all the way back to Carthage to retrain! And there is no Cavalry available to me in the middle east so Parthia is becoming more and more difficult to contain...

I do like this faction though, just wish there was a way to retrain those units in the east.
