Cannot start a campaign or a custom battle

Hello RS2 team! I have been very excited to play this mod but I cannot start a campaign or a custom battle. Let me first describe my computer setup:

--4 GB RAM
--AMD ATI RADEON HD 3670
--Intel dual core processor, 2.67 GHZ per core
--Windows 7 64 bit

First of all, vanilla RTW and BI run perfectly well on my computer. So I doubt it's a compatibility issue.

I also don't think it's a graphics issue, since in RS2 I can't even get to a realtime battlefield or a campaign map.

When I install RS2 and try to start a campaign and choose an option, I always get the "Please select an item from the list". And YES I do have a campaign selected. When I try to do a custom battle, even in Battles Only mode, after I set up my armies and click the arrow to start, I get sent right back to the battle setup screen.

Any idea what could be going on?

Sounds like RS2 got installed wrong or in properly.

Re install RS2 and see what happens. And no you don't have to uninstall all of Rome total war to do that. Make a backup of the Rome Total war File and put it somewhere safe. Then you can make multiple copies of that file and install different mods on to them.

From what you've posted it may be that you've not got R;TW BI installed to the correct level. Check the top right hand corner of the options menu and tell us what you see.

I am running Rome Total War Gold Edition. Does that not contain the more recent version of BI, and if not, is there a free patch that I can find?

You need to tell us the number that appears on the top right hand corner of the options menu. Just because you think it's the latest version it does not mean that is what you are running.

If you are using the R:TW exe it should be 1.5 and if you're using the R:TW BI exe it should be 1.6 and if you ar eusing R:TW Alex it should be 1.9.

If you tell us what it is we can advise you what to do (maybe).

Ok Look I'm having the same issue except I picked farther into the issue then the first post. I did everything correctly installed it just fine, The game Starts up perfect, and I have campaign selected in the launcher "The option for Campaign doesn't appear in the game" so it still only gives me the "Single Player" Option I can't see a "Rome Campaign option" I've tried uninstalling it and re installing it 3 times. I can not play Single Battle mode if I use the launcher, But if I use the original RTW Launcher instead of the Surrectum 2 Launcher I can run single Battles. And I know for a fact that my RTW is up to date because I bought it from steam and steam is supposed to automatically updates your game to the latest version. The issue I think it may be is that I bought RTW Gold, but Alexander is not installed in the same folder as RTW Gold. instead in a folder outside gold, And I know for fact it isn't a Graphics issue Because I can run Empire, Medieval, and Shogun 2...So what's the deal??? I've tried everything, I can Play surrectum 1.6 but 2 is beating me with issues...please help me solve my problem........
